Saturday

Saturday is the day of the week between Friday and Sunday. In ancient Romans was dedicated to Saturn. The Ukrainian name is derived from the Jewish "Shabbat" (holiday), which has spread along with the Babylonian calendar and Christianity throughout Europe. It's Sunday.
Saturday is a traditional day off in Israel. In countries where the traditional day off is on a Sunday, Saturday is also usually declared a day off for those who have a five-day work week; this is also typical of Ukraine. Working on the Sabbath is considered a sin in Judaism, as well as in some Christian denominations (for example, Adventists).

In English Saturday is called Saturday, that is" Saturn Day ". , literally "sunny evening". This name dates from the early Middle Ages, when the old German custom began the day with evening. At the time of the GDR, the name Sonnabend was official. In the south of Germany, e.g. in Bavaria, as well as in Switzerland and Austria, the name of the Sabbath is practically unknown.
