Bogdan Stylpovych Stupka (* 27 August 1941 (19410827), Kulikiv Township, Zhovkva District, Lviv Region - † 22 July 2012, Kyiv) - Ukrainian actor of theater and cinema, winner of the Shevchenko Prize (1993, for leading role in the play "Tevye Tevel »by Sholom Aleichem), People's Artist of the USSR (1980), People's Artist of the USSR (1991), Hero of Ukraine (2011).

actor Born August 27, 1941 in the village. Kulikov in the Lviv region, which was under German occupation at the time and was housed in the Galychyna district of the Governor-General.
He was accustomed to the stage by his relatives: his father sang in the choir of the Lviv Opera House, his mother's older brother was also a soloist, - chief concertmaster.
Behind the scenes of theater Bogdan Stupka saw and heard many prominent post-war singers, including Ivan Kozlovsky and Sergei Lemeshev.
Education and Career
Bohdan Stupka wanted to enter the Faculty of Chemistry of Lviv University [2 ] but also drink was unsuccessful. After that he enrolled in the observatory, worked for a time in Baku, joined the correspondence department of the Faculty of Philology of Lviv University. In 1961 he graduated from the acting studio at the Lviv Academic Drama Theater. M. Zankovetskaya until 1978 worked in this theater. His creative mentor was Sergey Danchenko, who in 1978 headed the Kiev Academic Drama Theater. I. Franko. In the same year, at the invitation of his mentor, B. Stupka went to this theater in 1984, he graduated from the correspondence department of the theatrical faculty of the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts. I. Karpenko-Karyy.
He was Minister of Culture and Arts of Ukraine for 1999–2001. In 2001, after the death of Sergei Danchenko, Bohdan Stupka headed the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater. His son, Ostap, played leading roles in his father's theater.
Death On July 22, 2012, after a long illness, Bogdan Stupka died at 6:45 AM at Theophania Hospital [3]. On July 24, 2012, a farewell ceremony with the actor took place at the Ivan Franko Theater [1]. According to his son, Ostap, the cause of death was a heart attack on a background of advanced bone cancer [4].
Bohdan Stupka wanted to die one day with his mother, Maria Stupka, who passed away from the night of 23 July 24, 2007 [1]
