Eli Abel Carrier

Elie-Abel Carrier (fr. Élie-Abel Carrière or Fr Élie Abel Carrière [1], June 4, 1818 - August 17, 1896) - French botanist and gardener, headed the garden of the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. br> 1 Biography - 2 Scientific Activity - 3 Scientific Papers - 4 Honors - 5 Notes - 6 Sources - 7 Links - Biography - Eli-Abel Career was born in the department of the Seine and Marne on June 4, 1818. Carrier was a leading specialist in coniferous plants from 1850 to 1870. He made a significant contribution to botany by describing many new plant species. Eli-Abel also described some plant species - tsuga, keteleeria (Latin Keteleeria) and pseudotsuga. Carrier headed the garden of the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. Eli-Abel Carrier published his most important scientific work, Traité Général des Conifères, in 1855.
Eli-Abel Carrier died in Paris on August 17, 1896.
