Description of the coat of arms
A silver cross with forked ends in the scarlet field, so that it is about eight corners, and in the division ends laid on the ball. A black grouse sits above the crown, as if about to fly. The name of this coat of arms - the eight-pointed cross (osmorog) - is explained by the fact that a warrior named Geralt, who originally had a bird in his coat of arms, was granted a cross by the pope in retaliation for preaching Christianity to the pagans; and its initial coat of arms is placed in the crest [1]. The coat of arms of the Herald (used: Gerzhinsky) is included in Part 2 of the Herbarium of the noble families of the Kingdom of Poland, p. 42.
The coat of arms is used by Belcznicki, Dymensky (Dymienski), Fasciszewski (Fasciszewski), Geralts (Gieralt), Geralt (Gieraltowski), Gerchinsky (Gierczynski), Gerlovichi, Gerzhinsky (Gierzynski), Gineyt (Ginejt, Ginelt, Ginsky (Koscows), ), Magnus, Mozgawski, Osmorog, Pierszchala, Rzeszynski, Semikhovsky, Siemichowski, Siemiechowski, Skretovskie, Skr etowski), Slonetsk (Slonecki), Surgut (Surkont, Surgut, Surgunt, Surkont, Surguta, Surkot), Surzhitsky (Surzycki), Tovian (Towianski), Wenzycki (Wzyzycki), Volsky (Wolski) Wrobilski), Wroblewski, Wrublinski, Wyzycki, Zemleszczery - Notes
