Biography - Original Educated at a church school in Lviv. From 1579 he studied at the Cracow Academy, where in 1580 he became a bachelor. Later he was a teacher in the Lviv church school, in 1587-1590 - presumably, was its rector.

At the beginning of 1597, at the invitation of Hetman Jan Zamoysky, he became professor of eloquence, headed the Department of Moral Philosophy at the Zamoy Academy, the third higher educational institution in Poland. A few months later became her rector.
He was one of the main representatives of Polish philosophical thought of the Renaissance. Supporter of empiricism and the inductive method in science. He fought for secularism and school autonomy against the hegemony of church authorities.
He served in the Department of Mathematics and Philosophy of the Cracow Academy. He supervised the academic printing house.
At the behest of King Sigismund III, A. Bursky revised the previous edition of German-Saxon Law and published a new one in 1602 under the title: “Juris provincialis quod speculum vulgo nuncupatur” (a very rare book). Of his other works, he is especially remarkable: “Dialectica Ciceronis etc.” (Zamosc, 1604), "Oratio funebris ... Ioannis Zamoscii" (Zamosc, 1605). Many of his works remained in the manuscript in the Zamoyski library in Warsaw.
