Akinfeev started playing at CSKA Moscow at the age of 17 and has been the first choice ever since. The UEFA Cup has won many honors, including the two national championships and "Zvezda", the best player award in the former Soviet Union. CSKA has twice captured Moscow during the Porto and Hamburg matches in the Champions League. When they went to the UEFA Champions League for the second time, he closed the goal for a total of 362 minutes, including the Porto match.
National team career
Russia in 2004 He was called to the National Football Team. In Euro 2004, he appeared in the squad as the third goalkeeper after Sergey Ovchinnikov and Vyacheslav Malafeyev. His first big match was against Estonia on March 30, 2005, at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Qualification. He became Russia's first goalkeeper after long-term injury to Vyacheslav Malafeyev. When he was 18 years and 20 days old, he became the youngest player to join the Russian National Team. He continued to work as the first goalkeeper in the direction of Guus Hiddink. On May 6, 2007, Akinfeev was injured from the knee, preventing him from playing for 4 months, in a 1-1 draw with FK Rostov. That is why Vyacheslav Malafeyev lost himself to Vladimir Gabaoulov. He returned to the Russian National Football Team in early November, but did not join the squad due to his low form in the match against Israel in the Euro 2008 Qualifiers. It was Guus Hiddink's first choice for Russia throughout Euro 2008.
