Khwarezm

Harezm (Arabic: خوارزم / Khwārizm, Uzbek: Xorazm, Persian: خوارزم / Khwārazm) are the lands of the Ceyhun River (Amu Derya) and its deltas flow into Aral Lake. It is the birthplace of the scientist Al-Harezmi. Thanks to the irrigation system in the Middle Ages, the area has been discovered by the archeology studies carried out in the last 12 years. 6-4 BC. For centuries, Iran was part of the Achaemenid Empire. When it was conquered by the Arabs in the 7th century AD, the religion of Islam began to spread in the region. From the late 11th to the early 13th century, it remained under the sovereignty of the independent Harzemshah State. Later, it passed into the hands of the Mongols, Timurids and Satanis, respectively. In the beginning of the 16th century, it became the center of the Hive Khanate under the rule of the Uzbek İlbars dynasty. Hive Khanate, which repelled Russian attacks in 1717 and 1839, was defeated in 1873 and came under Russian protection. After the Soviet Revolution, the Khanate was removed and replaced by the Khorezm People's Soviet Republic (1920 - 1924). Harezm later joined the USSR.
