The great Saint Brugu Maharshi built a Sri Varadaraja Swamy temple in Uttanur The Uttanur is known as a Uttama Kanchi Every year on the day of Bharatha Hunnime the Rathothsava takes place

In Uttanur Sri Beereshwara Swamy temple the jathra takes place once in every ten years

In Uttanur Sri Ganapathi temple was built by Ganigara Sri JR Lakshminarayanashetty
