As of the census2 of 2010, there were 919 people, 406 households, and 228 families residing in the city The population density was 5780 inhabitants per square mile 2232/km2 There were 501 housing units at an average density of 3151 per square mile 1217/km2 The racial makeup of the city was 938% White, 37% Native American, 01% Pacific Islander, 05% from other races, and 18% from two or more races Hispanic or Latino of any race were 28% of the population

There were 406 households of which 234% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 441% were married couples living together, 81% had a female householder with no husband present, 39% had a male householder with no wife present, and 438% were non-families 369% of all households were made up of individuals and 18% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older The average household size was 212 and the average family size was 279

The median age in the city was 482 years 206% of residents were under the age of 18; 51% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 201% were from 25 to 44; 274% were from 45 to 64; and 268% were 65 years of age or older The gender makeup of the city was 497% male and 503% female

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,058 people, 454 households, and 261 families residing in the city The population density was 7565 people per square mile 2918/km² There were 524 housing units at an average density of 3747 per square mile 1445/km² The racial makeup of the city was 9518% White, 321% Native American, 009% Asian, 019% Pacific Islander, and 132% from two or more races Hispanic or Latino of any race were 151% of the population

There were 454 households out of which 251% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 474% were married couples living together, 77% had a female householder with no husband present, and 423% were non-families 394% of all households were made up of individuals and 253% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older The average household size was 214 and the average family size was 287

In the city, the population was spread out with 216% under the age of 18, 60% from 18 to 24, 213% from 25 to 44, 203% from 45 to 64, and 309% who were 65 years of age or older The median age was 46 years For every 100 females there were 830 males For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 762 males
