The municipality Langadas was formed at the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the following 7 former municipalities, that became municipal units:

  • Assiros
  • Kallindoia
  • Koroneia
  • Lachanas
  • Lagadas
  • Sochos
  • Vertiskos

The municipality Langadas has an area of 1,22265 km2, the municipal unit Langadas has an area of 197411 km2, and the community Langadas has an area of 31761 km2
