Nobel Prize in Physics - a prestigious award for scientific achievements in the field of physics. The prize is awarded annually by the Nobel Committee, on December 10 in Stockholm, on the day of the death of Alfred Nobel.

Eligibility
According to the statutes of the Nobel Foundation, to nominate candidates are the following persons:
1) members the royal Swedish Academy of Sciences
2) members of the Nobel committee for physics and chemistry
3) winners of the Nobel prizes in physics and chemistry
4) of the fesary physics and chemistry, which are resident and working in universities and technical universities in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Stockholm's Karolinska Institute
5) heads of relevant departments, at least six universities or institutions elected Academy of Sciences
6) other scientists from the Academy which deems it necessary to accept the proposals
choice of the persons referred to in paragraphs 5 and 6 for the nomination of candidates should be made before the end of September each year.
